Fire bucket stand with canopy for outdoor sites
A fire bucket stand with canopy keeps your sand and water buckets clean, visible and ready at outdoor sites. The canopy on top stops rain, dust and falling leaves from getting into the buckets. Without it, outdoor sand turns into wet lumps and water collects dirt or dries up, so the buckets are not much help when a small fire starts. Installation tips
- Stand it on firm, level ground near the risk, where people can reach it in a few seconds.
- Keep it out of vehicle paths so trucks and tankers do not hit it.
- Keep it clear of gates and exits.
- Put an extinguisher close by. A foam fire extinguisher suits fuel areas, a 6 kg ABC fire extinguisher suits general yards, and a foam trolley extinguisher suits large fuel storage. An outdoor extinguisher lasts longer inside a weatherproof fire extinguisher box.
Monthly check, and after heavy rain
Once a month, and after every heavy rain or dust storm, check that the canopy and frame have no rust or bent parts, every bucket is in place, and the sand is dry and loose. Replace sand that has become wet or lumpy, and top up or change dirty water.
