Product details
Fire extinguisher for electrical panel: clean agent gas
Choosing a fire extinguisher for electrical panel protection means avoiding two problems: water, which conducts electricity, and powder, which coats every contact and circuit board. This FireSpray clean agent extinguisher solves both. It puts out the fire with a gas that evaporates completely, leaving no powder, water or residue, so the panel and the equipment around it can be cleaned up and restored faster. It is ISI marked, pressure-tested at our factory and covered by a 5-year warranty from the invoice date. It comes in 1 kg, 2 kg, 4 kg and 6 kg; select a size above to see its price (plus GST).
Which fires does it put out?
- Class A: wood, paper, cloth, plastic and other solid materials, such as cable insulation, files and furniture in a control room.
- Class B: flammable liquids such as petrol, diesel, oil, paint and solvents.
- Class C and electrical: live electrical equipment, sensitive electronics and server rooms.
Because it covers solid materials as well, one unit protects both the panel and the room around it. That is the main difference from CO2, which is meant for liquid and electrical fires only.
Where to use it
- Main and sub electrical panels, MCC and PCC rooms
- Server rooms, network racks and UPS areas
- Control rooms, labs and CNC machine areas
- Offices with costly electronics
It is not meant for cooking-oil fires; a commercial kitchen needs a K-type kitchen fire extinguisher. For lithium battery banks and EV charging points, use a lithium-ion fire extinguisher, which is designed to cool the cells.
Clean agent, CO2 or ABC powder?
| Option | Residue | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Clean agent (this product) | None | Server rooms, control rooms, labs, panels with costly electronics |
| CO2 fire extinguisher | None | Meter rooms, DG sets, main LT panels |
| ABC powder | Powder on equipment | General areas, after the power is switched off |
Want the same clean agent in a rust-free body for a hospital or premium interior? Choose the stainless steel fire extinguisher. All models are in the clean agent fire extinguisher range.
Which size do I need?
| Size | Good for |
|---|---|
| 1 kg and 2 kg | Small panels, DBs, cabins, single server racks |
| 4 kg | Electrical rooms, UPS rooms, control rooms |
| 6 kg | Larger panel rooms, server halls, labs |
Mount the unit near the panel room door, not behind the panel, so it can be reached without passing the fire. For panel rooms that are often unattended, add an automatic clean agent modular extinguisher on the ceiling.
How to use it safely
- Switch off the power at the main switch if it is safe to do so.
- Pull the safety pin.
- Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire.
- Squeeze the handle and sweep from side to side.
Keep an exit behind you and leave if the fire grows. After use, leave the room and ventilate it before anyone goes back in. Do not restore power until the panel has been checked by an electrician.
Monthly check, no yearly refills
Once a month, check that the pin and seal are intact and the cylinder and nozzle have no dents or damage. This fire extinguisher for electrical panel use stays factory-sealed, so there are no yearly refills; if a covered unit fails, we replace it. Read more on refill vs replace.

All questionsWhich is the best fire extinguisher for electrical panel fires?
A clean agent or CO2 extinguisher, because both leave no residue. Clean agent also covers Class A fires in cables and furniture, so it suits control rooms and server areas.
Can I use it on a live panel?
Yes, the clean agent is safe on live electrical equipment. Still, switch off the power at the main switch first if it is safe to do so.
What size do I need for an electrical room?
1 kg or 2 kg suits small panels and DBs, 4 kg suits most electrical and UPS rooms, and 6 kg suits larger panel rooms and server halls.
Is this the same as the stainless steel clean agent extinguisher?
It uses the same clean agent in a painted mild steel body. The stainless steel model has a rust-free body for hospitals, labs and premium interiors.
What gas is used in a clean agent fire extinguisher?
A clean extinguishing gas that leaves no residue. The exact agent is printed on the cylinder label.
Is a clean agent extinguisher safe for electronics?
Yes. It leaves no powder or water, which is why it is used for servers, panels and labs.
