Lithium battery fire extinguisher with stainless steel body
This FireSpray lithium battery fire extinguisher puts our battery-fire agent inside a stainless steel (SS) body. Lithium batteries in electric vehicles, laptops, phones and solar storage can overheat, burn intensely and flare up again after the flames seem to be out. The agent cools the cells and helps stop that re-ignition, while the SS body resists rust and keeps a clean look in shops, offices and damp areas. It carries the ISI mark, is pressure-tested at our factory and has a 5-year warranty from the invoice date. Sizes are 1 L, 2 L, 4 L, 6 L and 9 L; select a size above to see its price (plus GST).
Why choose the SS body?
A painted body works well in parking and plant areas. Stainless steel is the better fit where looks and corrosion matter:
- Laptop, phone and electronics stores and service centres
- Data centres, UPS rooms and battery rooms
- Solar battery storage at homes and plants, often in damp spaces
- EV showrooms, hotel parking and premium office buildings
Not for every fire
This unit is made for lithium battery fires. Do not use it on metal fires (Class D), and do not treat it as your general extinguisher for wood, paper or cloth. Keep an ABC (SS body) fire extinguisher for the rest of the premises. For server rooms, pair it with the automatic clean agent modular fire extinguisher on the ceiling, and keep a hand-held stainless steel clean agent extinguisher for the electrical panels.

Mount the unit on a wall bracket close to where batteries are charged or stored, at a height that any staff member can reach quickly, and keep the path to it clear.
Using it on a battery fire
Keep the unit upright. Pull the pin, aim at the base of the fire at the battery, squeeze the handle and sweep. Then keep drenching the battery to cool it, even after the flames stop, because the cells can re-ignite. Unplug or switch off the charger only if it is safe to do so. Do not breathe the smoke, keep an exit behind you, leave if the fire grows and call the fire brigade.
Monthly check
Once a month, check the gauge needle is in the green zone, the pin and seal are intact and there are no dents on the body. The unit stays factory-sealed, so there are no yearly refill visits; if a covered unit fails, we replace it. See refill vs replace.

Yes. It is made for lithium battery fires in laptops, phones, EVs and solar storage, and the agent cools the cells to help stop re-ignition.
What is the benefit of the stainless steel body?
It resists rust in damp spaces and keeps a clean finish in shops and offices. The battery-fire use is the same as our red-body lithium-ion unit.
Which size is right for home solar battery storage?
A 1 L or 2 L unit kept near the battery is a good start. Larger battery rooms should use 6 L or 9 L.
Can I use it on a normal office fire?
It is meant for lithium battery fires only. Keep an ABC extinguisher for general fires in wood, paper and cloth.
Can an ABC extinguisher put out an EV battery fire?
It may knock down flames but cannot cool the cells; a lithium-ion extinguisher is designed for battery fires.
